Alex is an Executive Director in the Commercial Real Estate Group within Wells Fargo’s Corporate & Investment Bank. He is responsible for all mezzanine and subordinate debt distribution backed by Wells Fargo’s real estate capital markets originations, including conduit and large loan (SASB) CMBS, as well as portfolio loans. Since joining Wells Fargo in late 2018, Alex has worked on the successful placement of over $140 billion of large loans, which includes several large take-private securitizations, in addition to the largest single-property CMBS financing of all time for SL Green backed by One Vanderbilt ($3.0B, SLG 2021-OVA). Alex helped Wells Fargo earn the #1 SASB bookrunner position for 2024, with Wells participating in over 50% of the year’s $70.5 billion of SASB issuance and setting the record for the most left-lead mandates in a single year.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Alex worked on the residential mortgage trading desk at MIAC Capital Markets, LLC, structuring and trading whole loan products on behalf of third-party clients. Alex is a graduate of Oberlin College where he earned his B.A. in Economics.
